Take Bold Decisions!!!

Image
“Life is 10% of what happens to you, 90% of how you respond to it” –Charles Swindoll In business, negotiations are made one factor: the decision of the buyer. Whatever the negotiator says or does to persuade his buyer, ultimately the buyer decides the fate of the deal. On the other hand, the buyer can never avoid the negotiator but can always deny the negotiations. Likewise, we can always decide to take our steps ahead even though we can’t change the events like happened. Whether you’re in New York or in Sudan, you can always decide what your next step must be. As the famous psychologist and the founder of logotherapy, Dr Viktor Frankl says, “Everything can be taken away from a man but one thing, the last of human freedoms to choose one’s attitude to a given set of circumstances, to choose one’s way.” Hence, even in the worst situation, one can decide what his way must be. The next thing to remember is that whatever decision you make it must be bold, strong  ...

Stand for your Beliefs

“Every really new idea looks crazy at first” –Robert Olson Imagine the idea of creating a facebook or the idea of the internet a century ago. It would have been the most absurd idea then. Probably the people would imprision such a man with these ideas in a mental asylum a century back. It is really true that every new idea looks crazy at first. It is simply because these ideas have the potential to change the world. It is simply because these breathtaking notions just hover over a human mind unless it doesn’t witness them. It is simply because these marvellous ideas are just outside the box. The first thing a man with a really good and crazy idea faces is the rejection of the society. This phenomenon is so universal that 80% of the superlative self-made rich today were once turned down the people for their crazy but outstanding ideas. But what made them overcome the rejection of the society and realize their dreams? These eminent innovators surmounted the rejection of t...

Aim for Excellence

Image
“Everyone has the power for greatness, not for fame but for greatness” -Martin Luther King Jr. Greatness is the birthright of every individual. It is not only for a few chosen but also for the ones who are ready to aim for excellence. Indeed, excellence is the one that brings greatness to a man. Be excellent at your work, be excellent at your home and be excellent at being a human being because every act done in excellence leads to greatness. Excellence is never perfection. Often people confuse themselves between excellence and perfection. Perfection is excellent but excellence always may not be perfect. Usually, people do a lot of hard work and attain excellence. In their desire to attain perfection, they stop giving value to excellence and go for perfection. In this process, they lose their opportunities. Hence, aim for excellence and go for it. Don’t wait to be perfect. Just do it. Aiming for excellence in every moment of your life will empower and inspire you a...

Be Persistent

Making your mark on the world is hard. If it were easy, everybody would do it. But it’s not. It takes patience, it takes commitment, and it comes with plenty of failures along the way. The real test is not whether you avoid this failure because you won’t. It’s whether you let it harden or shame you into inaction, or whether you learn from it; whether you choose to persevere. - Barack Obama We as human beings are designed by God to be successful. Then why most of us don’t achieve what we are designed for. People often tell it’s all about their fate. That’s bullshit. It’s only about how to tackle life. It’s only about how you get up each time you fall. It’s only about perseverance. The Cambridge English dictionary defines perseverance as continuous effort and determination. Yes, it is truly the essence of how you recover each time you fall and still go on in spite of the efforts and hard work you put in. but are there steps even to make our mind strong enough to persevere even ...

The Power of Positivity

Image
Viktor Frankl, in his book ‘Man’s search for Meaning’, says, “We have the ability to choose how we respond to and process any event that happens to us.’ Viktor Frankl was an Austrian psychotherapist who survived confinement in the Nazi concentration camps. When he was in the camps, there were many people around him who went through the same torment and torture that he had gone through. Many lost hope. Many lost positivity. This caused them loose their health and finally their lives. Few among them including Viktor retained their positivity and survived the torment. But how does one retain their positivity even in the midst of the worst? Viktor, in his book, notes down three traits of the survivors that helped them retain their even when they came face-to-face with death. 1.Have an Aim: Your life should have an aim. The aim should be such that you should work, study and even sleep accordingly that you attain your aim. The aim can be anything from being the best athlete to a ...

The Virtue called Hard Work

Image
We, as human beings, have the inner call and potential to be someone great. But it is not easy. Why? It is simply because this inner call to be someone great is not only in you or me but in the entire 7.6 billion people of this planet. But how do some people who like you and me made up of the same flesh and bones attain success and greatness? One day, a lady met Picasso in the market. She pulled out a paper and said, “Mr. Picasso, I’m your great fan. Could you please draw me a picture?” Picasso happily agreed, drew a picture in 30 seconds and told her, “It’s worth a million dollars.” The confused lady replied, “But it took you only 30 seconds.” Picasso laughed, “My dear lady, it took me 30 years to draw this masterpiece in 30 seconds.” What really makes a great man like Picasso different from others is the amount of work that they put to attain success. If you want to succeed, the first thing you need to realize is that there are thousands of people out there who have the s...
